Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy promotes, maintains, and restores movement through patient education, physical intervention ( therapeutic exercise). disease prevention + health promotion.

Physical Therapists are able to perform differential diagnosis to address illness or injuries that may limit a person’s mobility and impact functional activities in their daily lives.

A PT’s mission/goal is to develop an individualized plan of care as well as a wellness oriented program to equip the client with all tools necessary to lead a healthy + active lifestyle; maintaining +/or restoring movement + functional ability throughout the lifespan.

Pilates

More than a fitness class, pilates is a method of movement that can help you recover from injuries + even prevent pain and/or future injuries.

Pilates uses controlled, functional movements to build strength, improve flexibility, and help you increase your body awareness. Pilates focuses on increasing strength of core/stabilizing muscles in your abdomen, back, and hips.

Pilates can not only assist with improved strength, balance, body mechanics + posture, but it can really highlight carry over for functional mobility in your everyday life.

kind words…

Meg is phenomenal! I’ve seen quite a few PTs is the past 10years and she is by far the best I’ve seen. She listens to all my concerns, tailors each session to meet my exact needs addressing my areas of weakness, and keeps sessions interesting and engaging. I never dread going to physical therapy services with Meg.

I had been going to another physical therapist for back and hip issues for 9 months without making any real progress. I couldn’t walk for half a block without limping and being in pain. Within 6 weeks of seeing Dr. Meg I felt better than I had in years. Now, 5 months later, I can walk for 30 minutes on the treadmill, I am stronger and fitter, and my mental heath has improved as much as my physical health. Dr. Meg is amazing!!!

Meg is an exceptional physical therapist who really cares about her patients. I am so grateful for her time and expertise every week. Seeing Meg is truly a highlight for me, and I walk out of Reform PT every week feeling like a new person. Go see Meg if you want to start feeling your best!

Dr. Meg Moore has been able to take me from incapacitated by a broken ankle, to walking and as of yesterday, biking for the first time in over a year!! I have seen other physical therapists for my injury and consequent surgery, but was completely unsatisfied with their attention and ability to help me in my healing process. On the first visit, with Meg I was given a professional assessment and the time and attention necessary to be able to create a working path towards my goals.

She uses a holistic approach to healing involving the Pilates reformer. This works not only the injury but also helps to balance and strengthen other aspects of my body that have begun to weaken and compensate for the ankle. I’m just a few months, I have made significant improvements and am very grateful for her time and attention, and professionalism. Highly recommended!!

Meg is as expert as she is kind. She is, hands down, the best physical therapist I’ve worked with. Meg’s physical therapy practice centers on Pilates, which means we simultaneously prevent future injury while treating current issues. Highly recommended!
